"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
—Mary Oliver
Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re a working professional who’s looking for something…
Do you feel emotionally drained and “used up” at the end of your day?
Are you stuck in a job—or a lifestyle—you now realize you never really wanted in the first place?
Are you ready to leave the corporate rat race for good, but lack clarity on what you could do that would bring you joy and meaning, and be well-compensated?
Burnout is an epidemic. Nearly half of US professionals feel burned out from work.
But here’s the thing—to reset from burnout:
You can’t just put your head down and ‘power through'…
Taking a “mental health day” or weekend getaway won’t cut it…
You don’t need to rage quit or impulsively jump into a new role…
You simply need to tap into the power of dreams.
Dreams are the antidote to burnout
Burnout is a psycho-emotional state caused by chronic stress, where you lose all motivation or incentive. It is often accompanied by feelings of powerlessness, overwhelm, or depression, and a sense of hopelessness. It may feel insurmountable to pull yourself out of the pit of burnout once you find yourself there.
Simply taking time away from work won’t cure burnout. In a recent survey, over 40% of professionals were still burned out after their vacation. It’s as if, even while you’re away in a beautiful place, your consciousness can’t escape the impending return to your screen-tethered, stress-ridden reality.
But there is an antidote within each of us, a hidden wellspring of energy and vitality that can completely wash away the stress of burnout.
It is unlocked only when we connect our heart’s longing to the vision of our higher self.
It is the nexus of our passion and our purpose:
Our greatest dream for this one wild and precious life.

A Day of Dreamscaping
7:00 a.m.
Waking up to the sound of the birds singing and ocean waves rolling in. We’ll start our day with an all-levels yoga practice to enliven the body, linking breath to movement followed by a short, peaceful morning meditation.
Enjoy a nourishing and filling homemade breakfast on the lanai — tropical fruits, chia pudding, or veggie-stuffed omelets, with organic coffee or tea.
After breakfast, we’ll gather for a session of learning, deep conversation, and introspection, focusing on one stage of the Dreamscape journey to envision your future path with the support of our community.
Mid-day
We’ll break for a delicious, organic lunch followed by free time to relax on the soft beach sand, snorkel with sea turtles among beautiful corals, enjoy a walk in the tropical gardens, or perhaps a hammock nap.
In the afternoon, we gather for a Cacao Ceremony, Sound Healing, or a Somatic Breathwork Journey, where we will clear away stress or any latent energies holding us back.
Evening
As the sun sets over the water, enjoy a savory dinner together — dropping into deep conversation about the practices, or light banter and laughter about the day's events. Then get a deep night’s rest. Tomorrow we’ll be heading to the volcano for hiking and adventure!

After graduating from college with a degree in advertising, a Masters degree in Business, and years slogging through the rungs of lower and middle management at different marketing firms, I finally landed my “dream job,” working as an innovation strategist on some of the world’s biggest brands, alongside some of the world’s coolest people. There was just one problem: this dream I had been living wasn’t my own.
By the time I was let go, I had been burnt out for months, running on fumes, and was already teetering on the brink of a major depressive episode. I cashed out the down payment I was saving up to buy a home, and went on a yearslong sabbatical in Perú, Costa Rica, Sedona, and Hawaii. I met some incredible mentors, gurus, shamans, and lifelong friends on the journey.
Somewhere along the way, I launched my own dream, one that I now live into the world. I now continue my world travels, but this time as a transformational retreat facilitator. This is what I now seek to inspire in others: An awakening to the deeper truth and power that resides in us all, and to the greater cosmic force that pulls each of us toward our destiny, if only we slow down, and soften our bodies, and quieten our minds, enough to hear the whispers from our own souls, and clear our vision to see the signposts from Mystery.

It took me years to realize the path I was going down really wasn’t the one for me. But it didn’t happen all at once. I was grinding my teeth so badly that I had to get a night guard to which my dentist off-handedly said, “Maybe you should get a new job.” I tried countless workouts to relieve stress. I attempted my old tried-and-true path to success which included working even harder with longer and longer hours. It wasn’t until I was flying back from a lovely Christmas vacation that I noticed my body immediately starting to go into a fight-or-flight response the night before going back to work.
I realized that if I was going to move forward, I needed to honor what I felt. I couldn’t push it away or just grind it out anymore. My physical and mental health were suffering, and I was the only one who could change anything about it. I had to understand that I was worth it.
The next week I finally quit my job and began my journey of self-discovery and healing – strongly aided by a move to beautiful Colorado, meeting new friends (Jonathan!), connecting to nature, and learning from various teachers. I became a 230-hr. Certified yoga instructor on the Big Island of Hawai’i and primarily teach therapeutic yoga for those recovering from addiction. I found a new job in the corporate world leading innovation for some of the biggest brands in the world and am also a career coach, helping people define and chase their dreams to find freedom and fulfillment.
If you asked yourself, “What would I love to bring into my life?” What would you say? If you gave yourself the opportunity to imagine, what would you dream up?
Hale Kai on the Big Island is truly one of the most magical places in this world to me. We are beyond blessed to be able to share this space with you and would like to thank my teachers and the owners, Deborah Koehn and David Blehert, for making this possible.
